The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care conducted the survey and granted accreditation. Here are five things to know about Endoscopy Center of Coastal Georgia:
1. The endoscopy center includes five physicians of Gastroenterology Consultants of Savannah.
2. The center uses Lighthouse Anesthesia and Anesthesia of Coastal Georgia, a division of Gastroenterology Consultants of Savannah, to administer the anesthesia.
3. Gastroenterology Consultants of Savannah was established in 1978 by J. Erich Schweistris, MD. The ambulatory surgery center has been open since 2003.
4. More than 12,000 procedures have been performed in the ASC and include endoscopic procedures.
5. The physicians perform several procedures, including colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and lower and upper endoscopic ultrasounds.
