Murdock Surgery Center gets AAAHC accreditation: 5 key notes

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care granted Murdock Surgery Center in Charlotte, Fla., accreditation, according to the AAAHC newsletter.

Here are five things to know about Murdock Surgery Center:

1. The surgery center includes cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, hand surgery, spine surgery, podiatry, pain management, gastroenterology and surgery specialties.

2. There are 16 physician partners at the center and seven additional physicians who perform cases there.

3. The ASC includes modern technology for surgical procedures.

4. The Boom Organization sold 51 percent ownership of the center to Tenet Healthcare in October 2012.

5. The surgery center opened in 2006 and includes three operating rooms and two procedure rooms.
