AAAASF Standards 14 Approved for Launch in 2014

The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities has announced that its AAAASF Surgical Standards Version 14 has been approved for release in the first half of 2014.

The standards will be used for self-evaluation and surveys.

Standard 100.010.005 represents a significant change. The standard requires screening protocols for venous thromboembolism risk factors.
