The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities granted New York Heart Vascular Specialists accreditation last October. Here are five things to know:
1. Timothy S. Mountcastle, MD, leads the center.
2. Dr. Mountcastle has experience as chief of plastic surgery at INOVA Loudoun County Hospital and medical director of Mountcastle Plastic Surgery & Vein Institute.
3. Procedures performed at the center include breast surgery, body contouring, body procedures, face procedures, cosmetic surgery and hair removal.
4. The vein center treats varicose veins, restless leg syndrome and pregnancy.
5. Dr. Mountcastle has been in practice since 1999.
