The Johns Hopkins Hospital is the featured case study in the report. The hospital achieved the Top Performer on Key Quality Measures program in 2012 and 2013. Here are five key notes on the report:
1. The hospital implemented an initiative to ensure 96 percent or more of the patients received care linked to the measures in the Top Performer recognition and Delmarva Foundation award.
2. There were nine low-performing process measures targeted for improvement, eight of which were Joint Commission accountability measures.
3. The hospital experienced quality improvement and moved toward a sustainable process by communicating goals, creating infrastructure, engaging clinicians and connecting clinicians to peers.
