4 Tips to Improve Emergency Drill Standard Compliance from AAAHC

According to the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, standard 8.E was the most commonly partially compliant or non-compliant standard during surveys using 2012 accreditation handbooks. Here are four tips from the AAAHC’s Triangle Times for improving compliance with standard 8.E:

1. Create a list of necessary emergency drills for your organization.

2. Conduct drills at least quarterly.

3. Make a written plan for each variety of drill.

4. Make drills case-based and interactive.
