WPAH Appoints Dr. Ahmed Badr to Anesthesiology Chair

West Penn Allegheny Health System in Pittsburgh, Pa. named Ahmed Badr, MD, as chair of the department of anesthesiology, according to the Pittsburgh Business Times.

Dr. Badr officially takes the position June 1. He comes to WPAH from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center where he established the anesthesiology residency program.

Dr. Badr completed a neurosurgical fellowship at Ain Shams University School of Medicine in Cairo and both a residency in neuro-anesthesia and a fellowship in critical care medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
