1. Dr. Hemmings Jr. is an anesthesiologist and scientist.
2. Dr. Hemmings succeeds Gary Koretzky, MD. Dr. Koretzky became a vice dean, focused on academic integration in May.
3. Stephen and Suzanne Weiss Dean of Weill Cornell Medicine Augustine M.K. Choi, MD, said in a release, “As a physician-scientist who has spent his career bridging the gap between discovery and clinical research, Dr. Hemmings is a perfect fit for the senior associate dean role.”
4. In addition to Dr. Hemming’s appointment, the college also named molecular biologist Todd Evans, PhD, its associate dean for research.
