Wake Forest earned the accreditation after being visited by an IANA team and presenting a report on its nurse anesthetist program.

The IANA, an organization devoted to advancing educational standards in anesthesiology, awarded its first accreditation last year to the nurse anesthesia program at Hospital Salpetriere in Paris, France.

Wake Forest’s program accreditation means that it meets the IANA’s standards for the education of nurse anesthetists, a standard that has been approved in 36 countries.
