University Anesthesiologists donating $1.5M to university medical center, graduate school

Knoxville-based University Anesthesiologists is donating $1.5 million to the Knoxville-based University of Tennessee Medical Center and University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine, the Knoxville News Sentinel reports.

Here’s what you should know.

1. The anesthesiologists are also establishing an endowed chair in the department named for Jerry Epps, MD, former department chairman and current chief medical officer at UT Medical Center.

2. The practice will make the donation over four years. It will fund several anesthesia-related programs.

3. The anesthesiologists make up the university faculty.
