The Perioperative Surgical Home is a new model of patient care and a multi-departmental initiative pioneered by anesthesiologists at UC Irvine. It aims at transforming surgical care by improving quality, lowering costs and increasing patient and provider satisfaction. It relies on patient preparedness and evidence-based medicine.
