UAMS taps Dr. Jill Mhyre as anesthesiology department chair — 3 quick facts

Little Rock-based University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences selected Jill M. Mhyre, MD, as the College of Medicine’s anesthesia department chair.

Here are three quick facts:

1. Previously, Dr. Mhyre was the department’s vice chair of research and associate professor. UAMS concurrently promoted her to professor.

2. Dr. Mhyre has served as UAMS’ obstetric anesthesia division director since 2014.

3. After earning her medical degree from the Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan, Dr. Mhyre completed her anesthesiology residency at the University of Michigan Health System.
