Anesthesiologists occupy the No. 1 spot on the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics National Occupational Employment and Wage Estimates list, with healthcare jobs occupying many other top spots. 

Investopedia compiled a ranking of the top-grossing positions and merged or omitted some overlapping job categories. Mean salaries from the 2018 list are based on data from 2017, and mean salaries from the 2017 report are based on 2016 data.
