The American Academy of Nursing inducted Susan Perry, PhD, CRNA, into its 2017 fellows class at its annual conference, Oct. 5 to Oct. 7 in Washington, D.C.

1. Dr. Perry has worked to improve nursing and nurse anesthesia programs throughout her career.

2. She has been active in research centered around malignant hyperthermia syndrome.

3. Dr. Perry will be part of the organization’s Military/Veterans Health Expert Panel, while also working to expand access to APRN-directed healthcare.

She said in a release, “I am honored to have been selected as a fellow and look forward to using this opportunity to advocate for our profession and the health of our global community.”
