Rockford Anesthesiologist Wins Distinguished Service Award

The Illinois Society of Anesthesiologists this month awarded John E. Szewczyk, MD, a distinguished service award, according to a Rockford Register-Star report.

Dr. Szewczyk, an anesthesiologist with Rockford Anesthesiologists Associated, received the award at the ISA president’s dinner June 1. Given annually since 1970, the distinguished service award recognizes physicians and scientists who have made outstanding contributions to the Illinois Society of Anesthesiologists and the field of anesthesiology in Illinois.

Dr. Szewczyk received his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed both his internship and residency at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis.
