According to the report, five-year-old Kensley Kirby died after receiving a lethal dose of a local anesthetic called Lidocaine at the Family Medical Clinic in McDonough, Ga. She was taken to the clinic after breaking her arm.
The medical board suspended the license of the physician assistant and clinic co-owner Allan Imes for injecting the patient with three times the recommended dose of the anesthetic and performing an unauthorized procedure on the patient’s broken arm.
