Seventy-year-old patient Ruth Rosoff died four years ago from internal bleeding and low blood pressure following gall bladder surgery at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh.
A jury determined that Richard Todd, MD, did not provide adequate anesthesia care to Ms. Rosoff and awarded her family $280,000. The jury found that the hospital was not liable, and Dr. Todd is still employed at CVPH.
