Mount Sinai South Nassau has expanded its anesthesia services, partnering with Greater New York Anesthesia Services.
The physician-led anesthesia group will provide full anesthesia services for the hospital, according to an Aug. 21 news release from U.S. Anesthesia Partners.
The 455-bed hospital in Oceanside, N.Y., currently has 14 operating rooms with plans to open nine additional operating rooms next year.
The partnership and expansion will allow the hospital to complete more complex cardiac surgeries. The hospital is also integrating a new anesthesiology residency program this year, which will be led by GNYAS leadership.
Greater New York Anesthesia Services receives business operations support from Mount Sinai Health System and U.S. Anesthesia Partners, the release said.
