MEDNAX Acquires Georgia-based Gwinnett Anesthesia Service

MEDNAX has acquired Gwinnett Anesthesia Service, a Lawrenceville, Ga.-based physician group practice.

MEDNAX acquires Gwinnett Anesthesia ServiceGwinnett is the third Georgia-based anesthesia practice to be purchased by MEDNAX and will become part of its American Anesthesiology division.

Gwinnett physicians provide anesthesia services to Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville and Duluth, Ga., as well as at many ambulatory surgery centers and outpatient facilities in the area. The practice was founded in 1983 and consists of 22 anesthesiologists, 59 anesthetists and four clinical and administrative support staff.
