MEDNAX Acquires Anesthesia Specialists of Houston

Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based MEDNAX has acquired Anesthesia Specialists of Houston, the third anesthesiology practice in Texas to join MEDNAX’s American Anesthesiology division.

Anesthesia Specialists of Houston is a private practice of nine anesthesiologists, 30 anesthetists and nine support staff that have been serving the greater Houston area since 1981.

The American Anesthesiology division now has more than 650 physicians and 950 anesthetists in North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, New Jersey, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
