Here are four points:
1. Nine GW faculty members will lead the training, including Anna Katharine Hindle, MD, assistant professor of anesthesiology and critical care medicine.
2. The training will include 15.5 total hours of surgical instruction and simulation.
3. Members of Operation Smile’s international network of credentialed surgical volunteers will participate in the training.
4. Operation Smile is an international medical charity providing free surgeries for children and young adults in developing countries who are born with cleft lip, cleft palate or other facial deformities.
