Gonzaga University is growing its Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice program to expand enrollment.

Through a partnership with University of Washington School of Medicine, Gonzaga is building out more than 8,700 square feet of space at a new facility, according to an Oct. 1 news release from Gonzaga University.

As of Sept. 1, the university had nearly 500 applicants to its nurse anesthesia program for 28 spots in the first-year cohort. Once the expansion is completed, the program will have space for 40 students per cohort.

The expansion is expected to be completed by summer 2026, the release said.
