Federal agents briefly close 4 Kentucky pain clinics — 3 details

Drug Enforcement Administration agents visited four pain clinics associated with Sujata Gutti, MD, and Sai Gutti, MD, March 25, according to WYMT.

1. The four clinics in Pikeville, Ky., Belfry, Ky., Harold, Ky., and Whitesburg, Ky., closed for the day.

2. The reason for the DEA’s visit was unclear.

3. A clinic employee denied any wrongdoing in a phone call with WYMT. The employee said it was a standard investigation and that the clinics were scheduled to reopen March 26.
