FDA Approves Application for Pliaglis Topical Anesthetic Cream

Nuvo Research, a specialty pharmaceutical company specializing in topical pain treatments, announced it received FDA approval for a supplemental new drug application, according to The Sacramento Bee.

The FDA approved Pliaglis, a topical local anesthetic cream that forms a pliable peel on the skin when exposed to air. The cream is intended for use on intact skin to provide local analgesia for aesthetic procedures, such as dermal filler injections, facial laser resurfacing and laser-assisted tattoo removal.
