Dr. Richard Gilbert to Serve on N.C.’s Medicaid Reform Advisory Group

Richard Gilbert, MD, medical director of Charlotte, N.C.-based Southeast Anesthesiology Consultants has been selected to serve in the state’s newly formed Medicaid Reform Advisory Group, according to a report by The Business Journal.

Dr. Gilbert is board-certified in anesthesiology and pain management. He has previously served as the chief of staff for Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte and was the chief of the department of anesthesiology for the medical center for 20 years.

The advisory group is tasked with developing a plan to overhaul North Carolina’s Medicaid system, according to the report.
