Dr. Ralph Lydic to Chair National Space Biomedical Research Council

Ralph Lydic, MD, has been named by the National Space Biomedical Research Institute to chair its External Advisory Council, according to Space Ref.

Dr. Lydic is the Bert La Du professor of anesthesiology at the University of Michigan and the recipient of the 2012 Excellence in Research Award from the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

He has served on the NASA-funded NSBRI’s advisory council since 2005 and succeeds Stephen Doty, MD, as its chair.
