Dr. Keating was a past president of CSMS. He practiced anesthesiology at Woodland Anesthesiology Associates and served in various leadership roles at St, Francis Hospital, the Hartford County Medical Association (where he also has served as president) and on numerous CSMS committees.
“Stanley Keating has always embodied the ultimate advocate for his patients — and the notion that every physician is the most important advocate for his or her patients,” said Michael Deren, MD, chairman of the CSMS Council, according to a CSMS news release. “He guided our organization through the most tumultuous times with the advent of managed care, and he had the vision to see that all of us in the small practices that make up the majority of medical care in this state had to work differently in order to succeed.”
