The program shares data and centralizes clinical information between three CareFusion systems, the Pyxis MedStation system, the Pyxis Anesthesia system and the Cerner electronic health record.
The automation creates streamline processes to close the loop on medication administration. For bar-coded medication administration, the compliance rate increased from 91.25 percent to 95.7 percent, exceeding project targets.
