The Choosing Wisely campaign aims to promote conversations between physicians and patients. The ASA released a list of “Five Things Physicians and Patients Should Question,” which draw attention to the need or lack of need for many frequently-ordered tests or treatments. The ASA then released a second set of five targeted, evidence-based recommendations for pain medicine.
