ASA: CMS Reminds Eligible Professionals PQRS Incentives End After 2014

CMS has published a reminder stating that this is the last year eligible professionals can earn an incentive payment for satisfactorily reporting Physician Quality Reporting System quality data to CMS, and this year’s participation in PQRS will also determine the 2016 PQRS payment adjustment, according to an American Society of Anesthesiologists report.

Here are four steps to take to participate in PQRS and earn an incentive:

1. Determine if you are eligible to participate.
2. Determine which PQRS reporting method best fits your practice.
3. Determine which measures to report and review the specific criteria for the chosen reporting option.
4. Report your quality measures.
