Anesthesia Experts Present Panel on Fungal Meningitis

Anesthesiology experts discussed the recent fungal meningitis outbreak as part of a panel at the American Society of Anesthesiologists annual meeting, according to News Wise.

Four panelists, including professors of anesthesiology, infectious disease and pain management, discussed past compounding issues, steroid injection safety and how to diagnose and treat fungal meningitis.

The panel sought to dispel misperceptions about the meningitis outbreak and educate on the proper techniques of interventional pain management.
