1. She is the author of two textbooks: Interventional Pain Medicine and Pharmacology in Anesthesia Practice.
2. She is an advisor to the FDA on its Anesthetic and Analgesic Drug Products Advisory Committee.
3. She earned her medical degree at Newark-based University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She went on to complete a combined residency in anesthesiology and research at Georgetown University Hospital and National Institutes of Health near Washington, D.C., and a pain management fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
