American Society of Anesthesiologists Names President

The American Society of Anesthesiologists has installed Mark A. Warner, MD, as president, according to a Newswise report.

Dr. Warner is the current dean of the Mayo School of Graduate Education and a professor of anesthesiology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minn.

A member of ASA since 1981, Dr. Warner has served in numerous leadership roles, most recently as ASA president-elect and a member of the ASA Executive Committee. He has served on more than a dozen ASA committees and is past editor of Anesthesiology, as well as a past president of the Minnesota Society of Anesthesiologists.
