The Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation released a video in which APSF President Robert Stoelting, MD, and other anesthesiology experts discussed the value of continuous electronic monitoring of patients’ oxygenation and ventilation. When continuous monitoring is combined with traditional nursing assessment and vigilance, it reduces the likelihood of adverse events, according to the video.
The Physician-Patient Alliance for Health & Safety and Leah’s Legacy agree with the APSF viewpoint.
