1. Dr. Elwood is an anesthesiologist, professor and interim chair of the anesthesiology department at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City.

2. He will serve a three-year term on AAAHC’s board alongside eight other directors.

3. Dr. Elwood has worked as an AAAHC surveyor for the past three years and has chaired the organization’s accreditation committee.
