The top five states for physician pay:

1. New York – $218.757
2. Massachusetts – $217.595
3. Maryland – $205,642
4. Connecticut – $201,655
5. Vermont – $200,771

The bottom five states for physician pay:

1. North Carolina – $155,385
2. Florida – $165,731
3. Michigan – $174,207
