Here’s what you should know.
1. The DiLumen EIP ensures complete positioning of an endoscope in the large intestine to assist with visualization, diagnosis and endoscopic treatment.
2. The device can improve endolumenal treatments, which may allow for less invasive procedures taking the place of laparoscopic surgery.
3. Lumendi is in the process of conducting a post-market outcome study. The FDA awarded the DiLumen FDA 510(k) clearance in December 2016.
