2. Horizon 2020, a European Union research program, awarded $1,059,705 to the researchers.
3. Researchers believe the device can have other gastroenterological endoscopy impacts. It allows for three-dimensional esophageal wall imaging and disease biomarkers quantitation.
4. The device may drastically improve care quality in rural and urban settings, researchers believe.
