1. Northwell Health bought a 70 percent stake.
2. The ASC’s nine physician owners maintain a 30 percent share in the center.
3. Suffolk Surgery Center offers services including general surgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, podiatry, pain management and colorectal surgery.
4. The surgery center is 8,500 square feet and serves almost 7,000 patients each year.
5. Suffolk Surgery Center houses four operating rooms, eight post-anesthesia care unit beds and four pre-operative beds.
6. Northwell Health has so far joint ventured with other centers including:
• SurgiCare of Manhattan in New York City
• Endoscopy Center of Long Island in Garden City, N.J.
• Garden City (N.J.) SurgiCenter
• South Shore Surgery Center in Bay Shore (N.Y.)
• Digestive Health Center of Huntington (N.Y.)
• Richmond (N.Y.) ASC.
