CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Ambulatory Surgical Center gives high school students hands-on experience with Intuitive DiVinci Surgical Machine — 4 highlights

High school students had the opportunity to use the Intuitive DiVinci Surgical Machine at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Ambulatory Surgical Center in San Antonio, according KENS 5.

Here are four highlights:

1. Students toured the surgery center on Oct. 5.

2. CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Physician Ambulatory Surgery Centers have locations throughout Texas and has more than 118 physician partners.

3. The centers offer a variety of specialties, including general surgery, otolaryngology, obstetrics, gynecology, ophthalmology, pain management and podiatry.

4. The students engaged in a competition to name the robot. The winner named the robot, Leo, after Leonardo DaVinci. The student noted, “It just made me think of Leonardo DaVinci, and he played an important role in human anatomy.”
