Here are four highlights:
1. More than 388,000 of the state’s residents signed up for coverage during the most recent marketplace enrollment period.
2. More than 626,000 Illinois residents are covered under the Medicaid expansion.
3. Between 2013 and 2015, the uninsured rate among Illinoisans aged 16 to 64 dropped from 17.8 percent to 10.6 percent.
4. On Feb. 25, Illinois Department of Insurance Acting Director said the coverage is a great achievement for the state and called for more education for consumers to learn how to “engage with the health system.”
