AAAASF survey costs increase — 5 things to know

The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities increased survey costs as of Jan. 1, 2015.

The fees were increased to cover growing travel and survey-associated costs. Here are five key notes on the increase:

1. The start-up survey fee increased from $500 to $775.

2. The regular accreditation surgery fee went from $2,000 to $2,100.

3. The survey fee with a Medicare accreditation for one to five specialists or one to three specialties jumped from $3,000 to $3,300.

4. The survey fee with Medicare accreditation for six to nine specialists and one to three specialties jumped from $4,000 to $4,300.

5. The survey fee with Medicare accreditation with more than 10 specialists went from $4,500 to $4,800.
