St. Mary Mercy Livonia to open new surgery center

The Mendelson Professional Building, planed for Livonia, Mich., will house the Mendelson Kornblum Orthopedic & Spine Specialists practice and an outpatient surgery center, according to a hometownlife report.

St. Mary Mercy Livonia (Mich.) Hospital will operate the surgery center in the 42,000-square-foot medical office building. The surgery center will be located on the second level of the building along with a Michigan Bariatric Institute clinic, according to the report. The first story of the building will house the orthopedic practice and Lake Urgent Care clinics.

The surgery center will include three operating rooms, two procedure rooms and 19 pre- and postoperative rooms.
