Buffalo Surgery Center $9M expansion moves forward

Excelsior Orthopaedics, based in Buffalo, N.Y., has received state approval to move forward with the expansion of its Buffalo Surgery Center, according to a report by The Buffalo News.

The surgery center’s current facility is 8,000 square feet. The new building would be 27,960 square feet. The project is expected to cost $9 million.

Though the state approved the project, Excelsior Orthopaedics still needs to obtain approval from a number of agencies within the town.

In addition to expanding the size of the ASC, Excelsior Orthopaedics would grow the center’s workforce from 30 employees to 50, according to the report.
