Half of the respondents who had visited a physician in the last year reported visit satisfaction, but they also indicated certain technologies were lacking.

Sixty-two percent of respondents said it’s important for healthcare providers to give patients an online cost estimator, while only 5 percent of practitioners actually provide them.

Two thirds also indicated they would like online medical record access. Overall, though, respondents reported physician knowledge, training and expertise were most important factors in determining satisfaction.
