On April 27, PCH filed the request for a change in its current rate schedule, asking for a 6.75 percent increase for project actual average charge per outpatient visit, increasing the average charge from $786.95 to $840.07.
Frank Sinicrope, PHC chief financial officer, explained the Health Care Authority requires hospitals to make either a “standard” or a “benchmark” rate increase request. He said the hospital has one of the lower charge-per-discharge rates in the state.
