The adjustable device, dubbed the Reza-Band by investors, uses pressure to help prevent regurgitation into the throat. It is worn around the neck at night, and a pad applies pressure just below the Adam’s apple to help keep stomach acid from rising.
The Reza-Band is the foundation for a new company called Somna Therapeutics. Medical College of Wisconsin has an equity stake in the company.
