Medtech company EvoEndo has reached 3,000 sedation-free transnasal endoscopy cases with the EvoEndo Endoscopy System.

More than 100 practitioners have used the system, and several hospitals have performed more than 300 cases, according to a July 23 news release from EvoEndo.

The EvoEndo Endoscopy System helps expand access to sedation-free endoscopy across hospitals and clinics across the U.S.

“TNE has changed the way I approach endoscopy in my pediatric patients — no sedation, no recovery room and a child who walks out the door minutes after the procedure,” Aravind Thavamani, MD, a pediatric gastroenterologist at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, said in the release. “EvoEndo’s platform gives me the tools to make that a reality with enhanced diagnostic capability.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
