Highland Cardiology at Red Creek reopened Aug. 3, 2026, three months after a fire forced the University of Rochester Medicine practice to close.
According to an Aug. 3 news release, the outpatient cardiology office shut down in May after the fire disrupted clinical operations. Highland Hospital, part of URMC, coordinated the response, which included fire and reconstruction management, equipment and supply relocation, temporary clinical and office space, and support for patient care operations, communications, technology and infection prevention during the closure.
Jason Pacos, MD, chief of cardiology at Highland Hospital, said the team is glad to be back. “Our team is excited to return to Red Creek and resume caring for patients in our community,” Dr. Pacos said.
The reopening restores a key outpatient cardiology access point for Highland Hospital, part of Rochester, N.Y.-based University of Rochester Medicine, as the health system resumes full cardiovascular care operations at the Red Creek location.
