Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente has proposed a single-story, 11,400-square-foot medical office building in Reno, Nev., according to a May 12 report from the Reno Gazette Journal.
Kaiser Permanente entered Nevada in February through a joint venture partnership with Reno, Nev.-based Renown Health. The organizations will operate a health plan and outpatient care delivery system in the state.
At the time of the partnership announcement, Kaiser and Renown planned to open two new medical facilities in 2026.
The submitted plans do not currently meet the minimum floor area ratios required by the city’s zoning code, but the code can be modified through a minor site plan review, the report said.
